Kai Greene talks about his life

Kai Greene: I was born on July 12 in Brooklyn, New York. Only six years left in the custody of social services for troubled families. I spent 10 years in various orphanages and foster families. Because of the difficult environment found salvation in training with weights.

Deep in my soul I always knew that bodybuilding requires talent and a will that people often underestimate. Turned his body into an object, which I studied carefully and patiently. By the time I saw more things in more detail and perfection has become my ultimate goal.

Progress in my room grabbed the attention of my teacher of English in seventh grade. Then for the first time became a matter for the opportunity to compete. My strong desire to be always better from its peers me ambition to grow quickly and are different from average people.

The beginning of my career in bodybuilding helped me build self-esteem and confidence in my own abilities and achieve my ultimate goal – professional bodybuilding. I spent most of high school to travel to competitions, winning various awards teens. The first time early in his career, remained in second place, is more ambitious and decided that I will break from participation to achieve a level will be amazed the world.

Then for the first time I went to the place that became my home and workplace, the gym, “5th Avenue”. It was just a small underground gym in Brooklyn, but that is where I met some of the world even in this sport. They received wisdom and knowledge that I took to be able to match the biggest monsters in bodybuilding.

Before the age of 19 became a professional organization for natural bodybuilding and received the title of “youngest natural professional bodybuilder in the world.” My professional status allowed me to take a more steep path to new and greater challenges.

I won all the titles that this organization can offer. Summer of 1997. set the goal to become part of the largest bodybuilding organization in the world (IFBB). For this to happen, had to first go through their organization beginners (NPC).

NPC in my career was filled with ups and downs, but after 2 failed attempts, in 1999. finally became the first heavyweight contest “Team Universe”, which meant a call for beginners World Championship in Bratislava, Slovakia. My participation there was a very disappointing fourth place was definitely not high enough for my ambitions, although now compete at a high level indeed.

While all told me that I cannot do it, I spent the next four years in an incredibly active preparation. Not only did it to prove that I, I did it because workouts were and have always been my way to stay alone with myself, to escape from harsh reality.

2004. I knew first place at “Team Universe” now has a place in the biggest bodybuilding community (IFBB). At the end of the year I returned back to the race, 5d. after he won the judges were impressed by my work all these years and again I ruled the first place. My day has finally arrived! After so many years of persistence finally got professional status and was accepted into the international Federation of Bodybuilding (IFBB).
