Naturally Increase Your Testosterone

BicepsThe Testosterone is one of the most important hormones that we need for our bodybuilding workouts. The rule is:

More Testosterone = More Muscle Mass

The good news is that we can increase the testosterone level in our bodies naturally. Here’s a list of ways how it can be done:

1. Get more Zinc

The Zinc prevents testosterone from being converted into estrogen (the female hormone). Also, Zinc itself turns estrogen into testosterone.

Foods high in Zinc include oysters (a natural aphrodisiac), beef, liver, crab, seafood, poultry, nuts and seeds, cheese, salmon, brown rice, pine nuts, beans, turkey, cottage, milk, yogurt.

2. Eat more healthy fats

You can naturally raise your testosterone levels by adding more healthy fats  by eating more fatty fish like salmon & tuna, nuts & seeds, avocados, olives, vegetable oils, and natural peanut butter.

3. Sleep at least 6 – 8 hours every night

Your body produces the most testosterone and the better you sleep the more testosterone your body will produce. That’s the reason why your testosterone levels are 30% higher in the morning than in the evening.

4. Reduce the Stress

When you get stressed – your body begin producing of “stress” hormone called cortisol that shuts down testosterone production.

5. Take between 1000 and 1500 mg of Vitamin C per day and enough Vitamins A, B & E

The Vitamin C lower cortisol levels allowing your body to make more Testosterone. Also, the Vitamins A, B & E all essential in the production of testosterone.

6. Workout Like an Animal

The heavier workouts including basic exercises such as Squats, Bench presses, Chin-ups, Dips, Deadlifts and Military presses will make your body to produce more testosterone.

7. Don’t Drink any Alcohol

If you drink alcohol, it’ll be harder for your liver to breakdown estrogen.

8. Don’t eat any Grapefruit

It also could make harder for your liver to breakdown estrogen.

9. Lose Body Fat

The higher your body fat % is = The higher your estrogen levels will be because the body fat contains

an enzyme called ‘aromatase’ that converts your testosterone into estrogen.

10. Try to avoid Xenoestrogens

The Xenoestrogens are man-made estrogens that are found in things like pesticides, artificial growth hormones, plastic containers and air fresheners and these xenoestrogens will increase your levels of the female hormone estrogen which will lower the testosterone, so:

  • Eat more organic fruits & vegetables that are free of pesticides
  • Eat more naturally raised meats
  • Use glass products to store food & water instead of plastic since plastic products tend to produce xenoestrogens
  • Don’t use any perfumes, colognes, or air fresheners that have parabens listed as one of the ingredients, because the Parabens are xenoestrogens.
